WordPress Plugins
I thought I would talk about the plugins that I use on my WordPress blogs today. How many of you have checked out someones blog and wondered what plugin they were using to get some desired effect? Well I have so today I am going to share what I use and my thoughts on them.
Akismet; This one is a spam protection plugin that comes with Wordpress. All you have to do is make an account with WordPress to get you key. It is fairly simple just activate it, click on Akismet configuration in the plugins section and enter your code. For me, so far, it has offered me great protection. It has let no real bad spam through, only a few nice site comments from those trying to gain a link from us followers. One day I may need to upgrade but for now it is just fine. It has caught 157 spams to date.
Nofollow Case by Case Now this one is for us followers. It removes the rel=”nofollow” from comments so we can show a little linky love to our commenters. Now if you don’t want someone to receive a followed link then just add /dontfollow to any link that you don’t want getting the benefit of a followed link from your blog. It is a simple plugin to use and it installs just like any plugin. Download it here;

Thanks for tips… I’ve added the do follow plugin. Hopefully, a few more people will comment on blog if my theme doesn’t scare them off - lol!
