Top Blog: Courtney Tuttle
When writing about a Top Blog I ask myself why I have it in my favorites as such. Now I have a list of things that qualify a blog for the title but when I save them there will usually be one thing that makes me want to check it out on a daily basis. For Court’s blog that thing may just have been the professional and straight forward posts. There is just so much valuable information contained on the site that a webmaster can put to use. I guess it helps that he once worked as a consultant for an internet marketing firm. From what I have been able to cram in, he seems to know his stuff.
Court’s Internet Marketing School
1. Quality Content; This is where this blog shines. If I had to choose one blog to help me with developing my websites into successful, quality sites, then this would be it. He constantly writes relevant articles designed with the beginning blogger in mind.
2. Fun; While quality content is Court’s site strong point, fun may just have to be the weakness. Now I may be wrong, I haven’t been through all of the content yet, but the site means business. Now I always heard that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. That could also apply to a website. Don’t get me wrong, the site is good it just lacks that fun element. Court if I am wrong then point me in the right direction, it would just make a very good site better.
3. Originality; In a world of make money blogs Court’s site stands out by not continually taking about the latest affiliate program with every other post. While you can still find them there, you can bet that it would only work out to around maybe 1 in every 10 posts. The whole site is geared to helping you, from the reworked Word Press themes to the plugins page, the site lays it all out there for you.
4. Post Regularly; You can expect about one article every 3 days. That is plenty to keep you busy if you just check out the archives on those days that you don’t get a new post.
5. Personality; I have to tell you, as far as personality goes, I just don’t know. I have been sitting here and trying to think of what I can say for this attribute and nothing comes to me. Nothing on the site really screams personality. While I can’t come up with anything to say about the personality I am sure I can find ten more things to say about how great the content is. Well there you go, maybe what comes out most about the personality of the site is professionalism.
I only have one suggestion, below every article the site has a related articles list. It would be a little better looking if that list were smaller. Maybe limit it to 3 posts.
There you have it, another top blog has been reviewed. I hope you have enjoyed the article. Come back for more blogs to check out or if it is easier subscribe to my RSS feed.
