Stats For November

I didn’t actually reach my goals this month but I did improve the stats and income on the site. Other than a few pitfalls it was a fair month. Well let’s take a look at last months goals;

1000 Page Loads
300 Unique Visitors
100 Returning Visitors
20 RSS subscribers
$150 Income from PPP
$10 from Google
$10 from TLA
They may have been a little ambitious but it never hurts to set goals right? Maybe I should have set them a little bit lower though. Now that we have the goals to compare to lets have a look at what the site actually did;

Revenue
PayPerPost $27.00
AdSense $0
Text Link Ads $0
So all of that for a grand total of $27.00.
Now I had 17 clicks for Text Link Ads but none of them converted into a referral and I had 395 page impressions from Google with no clicks. Maybe if I include a google ad in more posts it will result in more clicks. PayPerPost is still my best earner and I did do more posts than that but the pay after 30 days. I guess I will have a fairly descent month next month. I have $91.42 worth of posts that they will pay me for by the end of the month. The bad thing is that the opportunities seem to be drying up thanks to Google PR slap. My PR2 qualified me for better paying articles than this PR0 does but I guess I will just have to deal with it and hope PPP rolls out no follow soon so that I can ask Google to reconsider. From this point on any paid post links will become no follow after 30 days. I always thought that this was more about trying to give the advertiser exposure instead of trying to pass along page rank. I guess I was naive and have considered stopping PPP all together but these server bills will still come. I guess while I am in Afghanistan for those 15 months it will give me a little time to reposition the blog so that it can sustain itself without having to fool with doing a paid post every now and then.
Enough about that, lets get to the rest of the stats;

331 Page Loads
156 Unique Visitors
23 Returning Visitors
2 RSS subscribers

I more than doubled last months stats except for RSS subscribers and even with offering to plug people websites for just an RSS subscription I still had only a few people that showed interest but only one person met the requirements even though she still hasn’t confirmed her email subscription. I am still going to publish her plug though as a show of good will.

Goals for December
1000 Page Loads
300 Unique Visitors
100 Returning Visitors
20 RSS subscribers
$150 Income from PPP
$10 from Google
$10 from TLA

Well I am going to stick with the same goals and hopefully we will come a lot closer this month. I have added another affiliate program and just maybe someone will order a little hosting through Godaddy or maybe even pick up one of those wiki pages from OneBuckWiki (enter coupon code JAMES to receive a 25% discount at checkout!). I think I will be adding the site to a few directories this month, maybe 20 or so and also try and do at least two guest blogs. I also plan on reworking a few of my older posts and hopefully making them better. Come back and see how it turns out.

  1. Interesting stats, thanks for that, it’s always nice when bloggers post stats like these as it’s helpful for people just starting out to get a better idea of what is achievable, etc. Keep trying and I’m sure you’ll reach your goals for december!!

  2. If I work at it I am sure I can reach them, I just have to put in that extra amount of time. If you need any help with your site let me know and I will do what I can.

  3. Keep up what you are doing. It only gets better. I am curious how you are doing with Entrecard? It has been great for me. It’s funny, I have been turned down twice by TLA. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I have about 3000 Uniques per month.

  4. So far Entrecard has brought a whole lt of traffic to the site but I am still not sure if it is quality traffic. I haveonly been doing it for 24 hours and I have had about 50 uniques instead of the normal 8 or so uniques that I get per day. I think I am going to save all of my credits for when I am trying a to run a promotion and see if it helps.

  5. That is some great figures. You did very well and I like how you setup goals for the next month.

  6. You are the second person I have visited that used this theme. I like it
