Stats For December
First off I want to say Happy New Year to all of the readers of TWR. I hope you all have a successful year.
So let’s see what the goals for the website were for the month of December;
1000 Page Loads
300 Unique Visitors
100 Returning Visitors
20 RSS subscribers
$150 Income from PPP
$10 from Google
$10 from TLA
Now I am going to go ahead and tell you that the site didn’t meet it’s earning goals. No big deal, I did make a fair amount off of PPP but I have decided that I am not doing any more reviews until I find posts that use no follow in the links. That will really kill the money that I am able to make on this site but that just means that I will have to find other ways of monetization. I also didn’t meet the RSS subscribers goal. Even though I did get one new subscriber I also lost one and I have one that has never verified. So I guess I am going to need to do a little recruiting for my feed. Maybe I can reach those 20 subscribers for January. Now here is where the disappointments end, I have exceeded my other goals for the month;

If you don’t already know I guess you are wondering what I did. Well I joined Entrecard and the traffic has really flowed in. I have been able to expose the blog to many more people than I would have been able to normally reach and that one RSS subscriber actually is also a member of Entrecard. Now there are plenty of people that talk about the quality of the traffic coming from Entrecard and I have seen a decrease in average pageviews but I have also seen an increase in direct traffic. Actually it has been about a four fold increase. I call that quality. Anyone that comes directly to your site usually has it bookmarked. What can you do to turn that traffic into quality traffic? Have a quality blog. Now I am not saying this is a quality blog but I sure am trying.
I could have done a few more things this month though. I only managed to write 15 posts for the month and I really believe that if I would have made my post frequency a little higher then I might have been able to keep a few more visitors a little longer.
So what am I going to try and do in January?

Not a big stretch but it will still take a little work. I also want to try and get my page rank back. I will try and keep all of you informed on the steps that I take in that endeavor. As far as the traffic stats I am hoping to bring my bounce rate down below 60% (right now it is at around 79%). So stay tuned and see what the blog can do this month and maybe I can also present you with some useful information and sites.
