Total Web Review

Well I gained some PR and now it is lost again. What is up with Google? I went and looked in my Google Webmaster tools today and also found that three of my sites that are on the Do-Follow list have no external links showing up. Now the other sites that I have that are not on the list still show external links. I don’t know but this is beginning to get frustrating. Now why does it matter? Well Google Page Rank all by itself doesn’t really mean a thing. It seems to be just a little artificial indicator of your sites importance. The only problem is that some advertisers use it as an indicator also. Now if PR was based solely on our traffic that may be okay, but it isn’t so an advertiser isn’t necessarily getting good exposure just because of a sites PR. Now if PR was based mostly on traffic and then maybe a little on back links then using PR as a guide when advertising would be okay. I just hope this whole thing will get worked out over the next week or so. I know some people who Google slapped for selling links have since removed those links, requested reconsideration, and they got their PR back. Now I haven’t sold any links at all so I know this wasn’t my problem, I guess I will just have to wait and see what comes out.
