Blogging for Success!
Starting with this post I will start documenting the techniques that I am going to try that will hopefully lead to a successful web site. Now for the beginner who knows nothing about websites and blogging I will try to cover some of the things that I have learned already through my experience setting up my other sites. I am going to try and do a monthly post on the earnings and expenditures of the site and I will show the weekly efforts that I try to drive traffic to the site.
Step one of my plan now that I have a website up and running is going to be to start the initial push to drive traffic here. One of the first thing I did was join the dofollow movement. Say you don’t know what it is? Well it’s like this see, you add the code to your side bar see, from PPP see, (okay enough with the see stuff right?). As I was saying head over to PPP using the link provided and add your name to the blog roll. Now you have to make sure you have the no follow turned off in your blog or else they will not accept you. Once that is done your blog will be added to the blogroll and that alone will drive around 5-10 hits a day to your site. Not enough you say? What was you expecting, we are talking about a brand new site with no traffic. Once you have that done you need to go to the next step which is:
Content. You need quality content to keep people coming back. You can’t expect anyone to visit a site that no one wants to read right? Well believe me that is the number one rule for a successful site, content. It is good to write at least one quality article per day. That will keep them coming back. If your site isn’t updated regularly then people that would be regulars will stop visiting. Keep it fresh and relevant and you will earn a steady following.
Well that is all for now. I will include a few more things to do in tomorrows post. In the mean while go ahead and feel free to explore my site and tell me what you like and dislike about it. I know it is a little plain right now but I will be sprucing it up soon enough.
