Blazing PC, The Home of the Overclocking Elite

Say you don’t know what overclocking is? You ever have a computer and you want it to be just a little better, a little faster, more responsive? Well you can do a few things to get that. You can buy a new one, you can upgrade some of your parts, or for some computers you can turn it up. Well it’s not so easy and if you are thinking about turning that 10 year old Dell up don’t bother.

Now if you head on over to Blazing PC you will find a fairly massive knowledge base of information covering the personal computer spectrum. Have a question about windows? If you do a good search in the forums you are liable to find an answer. Have a problem with your graphics card? Same thing, head on over to the forums. Now if you can’t find the answer you can always join the forums and ask a question and chances are it will get answered fairly quick one of the greatest groups of tech out there.

Overclocking
Now back to the overclocking thing; I mean that is what the site is about right? They have a group of guys over there who continually push their computers right to the edge. Some of these guys know how to get every single bit of performance out of their machines through special cooling and quality parts. You can browse through topics that explain the basics all the way to learning how to set up your own phase change to cool your processor and graphics card(s).

Layout and design
The site has been up since sometime in November of last year (it might have been up in October I just can’t remember) and the it has went through a few changes since the early days. Now it has a front page with highlights for the site and new topics in the forums that update regularly. It has a very bold design with some of the graphics done by one of the members (he also did the graphics for my biker site www.openroadbiker.com). It is easy to read and the layout makes browsing fairly easy. They don’t run a whole lot of advertisements on the site, just enough I imagine to keep the site running. One of the google ads though on the left side in the forums could be blended and I am sure if they would add a google link bar at the top on the main page they would see a nice little income increase. The site also features a shout box in the forums for members to have quick chats, kind of like an IM. The rest is set of like a normal forum. If you are familiar with forums it will be easy to browse if not it won’t take long for you to figure it out.

Community
One thing that will make or break a forum is the people. It is a community, and the members of that community have to participate. Well these guys do, they are very active in all areas. Heck I just sent a private message to one of the guys before starting to write this article and they have already responded. You will not find a better group of people on the internet when it comes to tech stuff. So go ahead, join up, and participate. You might even learn something.

This article is not a paid review. This is all my own opinion and I have not been compensated in any way for this article.
