Am I Done Digging?
I noticed a few days ago that the Diggs on my posts no longer showed. When I would try and go to Digg and login I would get a blank page. Now this happened the night of the primaries and all of the top Diggs were about political stuff so I just figured that the system might have been experiencing a heavier than normal load. A few days have passed and it is still like that for me.
9. with the intention of artificially inflating or altering the ‘digg count’, blog count, comments, or any other Digg service, including by way of creating separate user accounts for the purpose of artificially altering Digg’s services; giving or receiving money or other remuneration in exchange for votes; or participating in any other organized effort that in any way artificially alters the results of Digg’s services;
The preceding is the part of the Terms of Use that I believe I have violated. Remember the contest that I have going on? Well I was offering one entry into the contest for a Digg, well I now read that I wasn’t supposed to do that. I guess I should have known but I had seen it being done so I thought why not. I guess I should have read through the terms of use before I posted that. I mean how many of you take the time to read a TOS/TOU when you sign up for something anyways? I know you skim all the way to the I agree portion and then click. Well I guess that is what I get, I have sent an email to digg and inquire about the problem but I am almost sure what the outcome will be. I guess better luck next time. ![]()

I’d be interested to get some of your thoughts on the revised submission features of Digg.
I’ve had several readers tell me they no longer Digg stories because it takes too long. In your opinion, has the new Digg undercut it’s relevance?
Best of luck in getting reinstated. I’m a long-term advocate of warning network members of any TOS infractions prior to kicking and reinstating them.
All my best,
Rich
digg does take too long… thats why i stopped using it. i have better things to do.
Digg has always been a pain to submit, there are no well defined subject areas for most blog niches, and for small blogs unless you get lucky you will never see any real traffic out of it.
As of now it has been three days and support still has not responded to my email.
Hope you get reinstated soon. A completely agree with Richard that some kind of warning would be in place prior to banning. About Digg itself, it is very slow and annoying, and yes their categories are messy, took them ages to separate pictures and videos… you get the picture. Guess that’s why places like Mixx are getting more and more popular. But all that aside if you manage somehow to get to front page of Digg traffic is fantastic. Only thing is,it seems to be next to impossible.
