Advertising Comparison; 125 Exchange

I know I promised this and after I have tried a few programs I am ready to give my thoughts on them.

I signed up for Spot and 125 exchange. Both ad networks give you impressions based on the amount of impressions and clicks you send others. The first that I will review is 125 Exchange.

125 Exchange

This program starts you out with 5000 free impressions to use comparing to 3 different ads that you submit. The goal is to see which ad performs the best. While you are using the free impressions ads are running on your site earning you more impressions (if those ads get clicked). The ratio for clicks is 3/2. So if you get three clicks from your site to the site for the ad running on your site then you will get two clicks in return. This is more free advertising for you. In this whole process you don’t pay a dime, your ad runs free on other sites and you never do a thing. This service is intended for established blogs so don’t plan on trying to join with some MFA site or a landing page trying to hawk the latest SEO strategy. It is designed to bring quality traffic to your site.

Using The Service

To start with you need to go to 125 Exchange and sign up. Then you will be queued to submit three ads. Now these ads will be the key to your campaigns success so you will need catchy ads that accurately reflect your site, if you have a picture of a beautiful woman and your site is about search engine optimization then you may get clicks but you will also incur a higher bounce rate when the reader doesn’t find what led them to the site. Once you have completed that you will place the ad code on your site. At this point you will wait to have your ads approved, the turn around is fairly fast and soon you ad will start showing up on other member sites. The free impressions are doled out at a rate of 75 per day so those first 5000 will last you a little while.

Thoughts So Far

At this point I have been with the program for a month. I have received 2659 impressions and 11 clicks. I have analyzed my Google Analytics and the bounce rate for the clicks received is low. I will be experimenting with new ads as time goes to see if I can get my CTR (click through rate) up. As far as customer service goes, if you send a a message using their messaging system you will get a quick response. I like this service and I plan on putting it on this site soon. Just in case you were wondering I am using it on JT Music Review right now so that I could see how the service performed.

I will be doing a review on the other service soon so keep on checking back for updates.

Thanks for reading,

James Terrell

  1. I’m glad that you like 125 Exchange too. My SEO friend is using it and he is convincing me to try 125 Exchange service as well. But I am looking for more feedbacks because I tried few programs in the past already that didn’t work for me. So this time, I really want to know the pros and cons of a particular ad program before jumping again.

  2. I wonder where the idea of the apple came from.. It´s nice and fresh anyway, I like the green! Pros and cons are always good and it´s a really nice, neat advert they provide. Some adverts are just far too ” in your face” and just ruin a website.

  4. I really enjoy reading this but I still know too little about SEO. Hopefully you could do some of SEO for people too

  5. moneyholic, 125 exchange has a great FAQ that explains the program in its entirety, just read that and i am sure it would answer your questions a lot

    roentarre,
I will be doing a few articles on SEO but the main thing you should be doing is writing keyword rich articles for the keywords you are shooting for. Also make sure your blogging platform is optimized.

  6. Just try this one out. It is impressive!

  7. I am using Adgitize, 125Banner, Spottt, CMF Ads, and of course EntreCard. Most of these are kind of clunky and expect the users to understand how they work without a lot of explanation.

I am trying all of these to see what I gain from them.

  8. Your content is very interesting, bookmarked

  11. So the secret is 3 ad’s? I never knew that. I thought 3 ad’s where an option. So all this time I have only had one ad on 125exchange so does this mean it has not been working for me at all!!

Very frustrating I must have missed the area that says 3 are required. Yes, this on is clunky and doesn’t explain it very well. Heck you did a better job of explaining it then their site does. Thanks and let me know if my one ad has been for nothing.
