Search Engine Optimization Tips

This was a request from one of the readers so I thought I would indulge them. I mean we all need to think about SEO (search engine optimization) if you plan on getting any significant traffic from the search engines. SEO takes on many forms and can get rather confusing so I will try and only cover a few areas every week. The first thing I want to discuss though is making sure your site is setup for optimization. One of the best ways to do that if you are running your site on the wordpress platform is to install a plugin called All in one SEO pack. This plugin will help you ad descriptions, keywords, and set titles for the home page and your posts. It will also completely optimize how you want your site to be indexed. It has a built in option that helps you keep your blog from producing duplicate content so that the same articles don’t get indexed by the search engines twice. Use the faq provided to set the plugin up properly so you can be assured that you are getting the most out of it.
