Random Good Stuff

On first glimpse I thought this site was just a place to find interesting gadgets and funny information but after a little digging I found a pretty fair amount of stuff to do. Heck I could probably stay busy for a while just playing the flash games. On second look I guess this would be an all around entertainment blog. Here are some of the things that they offer;

1. Flash Games, every one loves these things (or maybe we hate them). They can consume a fair amount of time but they also keep some of us amused for hours. There are 24 games to play just control yourself and watch out for the boss, I am sure he won’t be happy to see you playing while you are supposed to be working.
2. Video Clips, there is a nice small collection of video clips with some very entertaining stuff (another thing to get me into trouble with the boss!). Just a little warning though, the To Do List Guy video is a little disturbing but still funny. There needs to be more than 24 though, I am not sure why there is only one page of them. Maybe there will be more added at a later time.
3. Deals, everyone looks for deals and with a little searching you might be able to find that funny little novelty item or maybe a deal on that new electronic gadget you have been wanting. There is also a place for low priced stuff ($1).
4. Movie reviews, check out the reviews, suggestions, or head on over to the forums to talk about your favorite flick. There is a fairly active community (although there is way more member than posts in the forums). There are some great posts on your favorite actors. Heck you may be able to add a little to the discussion.

Blog Design

The site has a very simple 3 column design that makes navigation fairly simple. The main menu is across the top with rss subscription chicklets on the left sidebar. Both sidebars have their fair share of widgets. If a few of them were removed I am sure that the readers wouldn’t miss them but hey, thats just me. Advertisements are not a big player on the site and the ones that are there are not obtrusive. There are a few Amazon ads, some affiliate links, and then there is Entrecard and Project Wonderful ads. All in all the pages load fast so none of the ads and widgets make a very big difference but if it was me I would get rid of a couple of the widgets that don’t enhance the user experience. I understand some of them help with traffic a little but some have little to no use at all.

Final Thoughts

All in all I enjoyed my visit to the site. There are plenty of good articles to keep me coming back time and again. Heck I could probably spend too much time playing flash games (can you tell that I like them?). The movie info and review area is great and I am sure after looking through it I may be able to find my next favorite movie (I watched a new one that I really enjoyed this weekend; Into The Wild).
